MahaDBT Scholarship is a digital platform launched by the Government of Maharashtra, also known as the Maha Direct Benefit Transfer Portal. Through this portal, various types of scholarships and education-related financial assistance are disbursed directly to the bank accounts of eligible state students.

More than 40 scholarship schemes from 11 departments are available on this portal, which include various schemes for students from SC, ST, OBC, SBC, EBC, Minority, and other categories. This portal has been created to bring transparency, save time and reduce corruption.

Types of MahaDBT Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria For MahaDBT Portal Scholarship

General Eligibility Conditions:

1. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra.
2. The applicant must be studying in a recognised institute/college.
3. The family’s annual income should not exceed the limit of the respective scheme.
4. The applicant must have secured the minimum required marks in the previous year’s examination.

Eligibility for some major schemes:

• Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students

Only SC students.

Family annual income less than & equal to ₹2.5 lakh.

• Post Matric Scholarship for OBC/SBC/VJNT

Only OBC/SBC/VJNT category students.

Family annual income ≤ ₹1 lakh (₹8 lakh for freeship).

• EBC Scholarship

Only economically backwards class students.

Family income ≤ ₹8 lakh.

• Minority Scholarship

MahaDBT Scholarship Registration

1. Visit the official website https://mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in/.
2. Click on the “New Applicant Registration” option on the homepage.
3. Fill in your full name, mobile number, email ID, Aadhaar number and complete the OTP verification.
4. Set your username and password after verification.
5. Now, Mahadbt Scholarship login to the portal by doing the Applicant Login.
6. Fill in the personal information, educational information, bank account details, income and caste related information in the “My Profile” section.
7. Go to the “Scholarship Schemes” section and choose the scholarship scheme as per your eligibility.
8. Scan and upload all the required documents (Aadhaar, caste certificate, income certificate, mark sheet, bonafide, bank passbook, etc.).
9. After filling the form, click on “Submit Application”.
