Nabanna Scholarship Scheme is a very beneficial scheme being run under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to economically weak but meritorious students and provide them opportunities for higher education.

Eligibility Criteria For WB Nabanna

To apply for নবান্ন বৃত্তি, one must have the following eligibility:

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Minimum 65% marks in secondary examination
• Minimum 60% marks in higher secondary
• Minimum 55% marks in graduation
• Family annual income should not exceed ₹60,000.
• Ineligible for other scholarships:
• The student should not be availing of any other state or central government scholarship.
• It is necessary to be enrolled as a regular student in the concerned institution.

WB Nabanna Scholarship Online Apply

1. First, visit the official website cmrf.wb.gov.in.
2. Choose the “Financial Aid for Education” section.
3. Click on the “Apply for Financial Aid” option.
4. Click on “New Enrollment” or “Sign Up”.
5. Log in by entering your mobile number, password and captcha.
6. You will get a Nabanna Scholarship form, fill it out carefully.
7. Enter details like current course, board/university, marks obtained in 10th/12th/UG or PG, result date, etc.
8. Next, upload your documents.
9. Check all the information and documents thoroughly and then click on “Submit”.
10. After successful submission, you will get a reference ID, Keep it safe.

Offline Registration Process Of নবান্ন বৃত্তি

• Write an application on plain paper addressed to the Chief Minister, mentioning your name, address, educational details, financial status of the family and request for assistance.
• Attach self-attested copies of all the required documents mentioned above with the application form.
• Pack all the documents in an envelope and send them to the CMO Office address
• If your application is found correct, the scholarship amount is sent directly to your bank account from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

1. Open the website: cmrf.wb.gov.in (Chief Minister’s Relief Fund Portal)
2. Click on the link “Check Application Status.”
3. This option will be available on the homepage or in the Applicant Services/Status section.
4. Enter your registered mobile number and the captcha displayed on the website, and click “Send OTP”.
5. Enter the OTP received through SMS and click on the “Submit” button.
6. Check Application Status on Screen

• Firstly, all the received applications and documents are scrutinised in detail.
• Applications with incomplete or incorrect information are not accepted.
• The student’s educational qualification, annual family income, and other eligibility criteria are verified.
